About Sarah

I strongly believe that everyone has the capacity for growth.  I believe in the power of human connection, the healing power of the therapeutic relationship, and most importantly, the transformative nature of deepening the relationship with our own selves. I provide an honest, genuine, empathic, and non-judgmental environment to safely explore thoughts, feelings, and fears so that self-acceptance can flourish.

I am an integrative therapist, which means I tailor our Individual Therapy or Family Therapy sessions to meet your needs using several therapeutic models. Using the power of the present moment, therapy is about transforming how we experience the relationship with ourselves. It is my belief that whatever your life situation may be, you are able to be happy, gain awareness and find your emotional potential.

I received my Masters in Counseling from California State University Northridge and my Bachelors in Performance from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London, England.  In addition, I have training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Client-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Gottman Couples Method.

I have provided clinical treatment at the Center for Individual and Family Counseling and adolescent treatment at the CHAMPS Charter High School for the Arts.  Since 2014 I have been successfully treating individuals, couples, and adolescents to resolve issues with depression, anxiety, relationship conflicts, insecurity, low self-worth, fear, and creative difficulties. I believe my background in creative arts gives me a greater understanding and empathy with those who may be struggling with the challenges that often arise while working in artistic fields.
